Worker Terms
Respite NOW is a technology platform (APP) that matches qualifications of a registered Respite NOW Worker (Third Party Care Provider) with the specific needs of a registered Respite NOW Family.
By agreeing to the Respite NOW Terms of Service I acknowledge that Respite NOW, CLTH and the hosting agency Community Living Trent Highlands(CLTH) are not the employer(s) of the Respite Worker and that these terms of service supersede any previous agreed terms of service and Respite NOW has the authority to update and modify the access of service at anytime and that you will be asked to agree to the terms of service. Respite NOW also reserves the right to deny access to the APP at their discretion for inadequate information, inappropriate or dishonest behaviour. By creating a profile with the Respite NOW APP, you are agreeing to the terms of service that have been created for the Respite NOW APP.
Liability
Respite NOW and their hosting agencies shall not be liable, either directly or indirectly for any actions of the Respite NOW families.
I acknowledge and agree that Respite Now, CLTH and the host agencies are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property resulting from or relating to any services I am providing or may provide to clients through the Respite Now App. I will institute no proceeding nor make any claim or demand against Respite Now, CLTH nor the host agencies in respect of any matter resulting from or relating to these services.
I further acknowledge and agree that I am not an employee, agent, or partner of Respite Now, CLTH nor the hosting agency for any purpose. I will not hold myself out as an employee, agent, or partner of Respite Now, CLTH nor the host agency. It is my responsibility to arrange with the client what work I will undertake; when and how often such work will be done and by what means; and how I will be paid, including what deductions or remittances need to be made for income tax, employment insurance, Canada Pension Plan, or other purposes. In addition to determining my rights and obligations in respect of any deductions or remittances, I am also responsible for determining my status with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
Privacy
When I create my worker profile with Respite NOW I provide personal information, and I understand that the information that is collected is only accessed for verification by Respite NOW staff.
Basic Requirements of Workers
I agree to the basic requirements to registering as a worker with the Respite NOW APP. I will upload and keep up to date the following information: a valid Ontario government issued identification indicating the age of 18 years+, a completed annual declaration and a recent clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Until all basic requirements are met, I understand that my worker status will remain inactive.
Cancellation Policy
As a Respite NOW Worker, I will try my best to give ample time before cancelling an appointment. I understand that if I give less than 24 hours notice before the time of the appointment that I will receive a low rating from the family.
Payment Process
As a registered Respite NOW Worker, I understand that it is my responsibility to provide documentation for Direct Deposit. if requested. I also agree to the below payment process set out by Respite NOW:
Payments agreed upon or made directly from families to workers are not the responsibility of Respite Now, CLTH or the host agencies.
The host agencies are Community Living Trent Highlands, Community Living and Respite Northumberland, Counselling Services of Belleville And District, Community Living Prince Edward County, Your Support Services Network, Family Respite Services Windsor/ Essex, Kids Thrive Sault Ste. Marie, Participation House, Wesway Thunder Bay & District, Kenora & Rainy River and Inclusion Northumberland.
